Sports Day Tomorrow! It’s now Senior Week in the High School and time for the Eleventh Annual Kim LaPre Sports Day!  Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, Freshmen and HS Faculty will meet on the fields for a day of games.  Six teams were posted on Monday, each with a color or pattern that students may dress in for the day –there will also be headbands in the appropriate color to clearly differentiate them.  A barbecue lunch will be served with vegetarian options (students with specific food sensitivities please bring lunch).  Talk to your student about sunscreen (we have it) and a water bottle!  The event begins after main lesson.

Please send in Payment for HS Yearbooks!  PWS HS yearbooks will arrive by Friday. Most students who signed up to receive one, and will get first priority, but there will be a few extra books available for purchase on a first come, first served basis. Cost per book is $25 — and students will not receive their book without payment! You can either pay online at https://www.paypal.me/sbaartz/25 (specify who should receive the book in the comments) or drop off cash or check (made payable to Stephanie Baartz-Bowman) with Kate McGill in the HS Office.

Book Drive Ends Tomorrow:  Wednesday is the last day to donate children’s books to The Children’s Book Bank, whose mission is to increase the chances for children to succeed as future readers, learners, and citizens by filling their homes and lives with quality books.  In low income neighborhoods the ratio of books to children is one book for every 300 children. Donation boxes are located in the HS and Lower School for lovingly used and new picture and chapter books for children. Thanks to Junior Austen Henry-Biskup for organizing this drive, and thank you for your help!

Last Day of School on Friday:  Grades 9, 10 and 11 are in their final week of classes!  On Friday, they will have Main Lesson and the final HS assembly of the year, when they shake hands and say goodbye to their teachers.  Then they’ll participate as volunteers in the third annual PWS walkathon (click here to donate).  They’ll provide music (a drum circle), certify laps walked, cheer the walkers on, and be dismissed at noon.  You and your student are cordially invited to the all-school picnic, beginning at noon on the front lawn.

Grades and Transcripts:  We will mail report cards at the end of June, and will also forward six-semester transcripts to students in the Class of 2018, either in the same mailing or later in the summer, so that families can review them prior to beginning the college application process.
